Across Persian and neighboring traditions, divs are often linked to conflict, temptation, strength and disorder. ShividiV takes that symbolic energy and asks a different question: what happens if the inner monster is not destroyed, but taught tenderness?
This is why the faces in Shiva’s work are not polished in a fashion-only way. They keep awkwardness. They keep their strange teeth, sleepy eyes and funny sadness. That is where their humanity enters.
